The governments in Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait are taking proactive steps to elevate their countries’ cybersecurity.
In March 2024, the United States and Jordan hosted the second U.S.-Jordan Cyber and Digital Dialogue which pledged collaboration through the International Counter Ransomware initiative.
In 2024 Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) launched Qatar's National Cybersecurity Academy to train government officials from Qatar and the Golf Cooperation Countries in cybersecurity practices; as well as Qatar's Cybersecurity strategy for the 2024-2030 period to align with Qatar's National Vision.
The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) continues to introduce initiatives to enhance a robust and cutting-edge digital architecture that supports Vision 2030’s goal of digital transformation through e-commerce, digital education, digital health, smart cities, national data, and e-government.
Kuwait is in the process of digitally transforming its oil sector and government systems, adopting cloud computing and cybersecurity programs, and protecting its sensitive data.
